SKETCHIES: Batman a la Detective Comics no. 27

So my friend George from If This Be Doomsday...! and If This Be Sketchblog...! told me a while back that he'd like me to draw him a picture of Batman. But not just any Batman; he wanted me to draw Batman in the style of his first appearance in Detective Comics number 27, in May of 1939, as seen below:
